WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

I am in Love

Posted over 2 years ago
for about the last month i haven't really been feeling it music wise. i have been in a musical slump. i haven't really been listening to anything or feeling like listening to anything. but then something happened today to change all that... i was in my car driving to the library and pass the crowds of drinkers celebrating st. patty's day like any honest american should and i had my xm radio on as always and i switched on channel 43: XMU, the xm radio version of college radio. XMU was playing music from SXSW music festival and i turned it on right when peter bjorn and john was on. I don't know if it is due to my kinda-less-than-peachy mood right now and i needed a band that embraces whistling or whether it had to do with the alignment of the planets or what but i loved them. I immediately got home and downloaded Writer's Block because the song i liked that i heard was "Paris 2004". This afternoon i have been driving around listening to the album and I am obsessed. I have been playing "Young Folks" and "Amsterdam" over and over again. and look at this cute little video:

  2. SA says Lovely record, just listened to the whole thing last Friday, very nice. :) And Young Folks, the whistling bit, stroke of genius I think. Not many songs can get away with a whistling chorus. ;) Good to hear it brought you a tad out of your musical slump. :)

  4. Rawkkiddoh says I felt the same way when I saw that video for the first time. A mogger had poster 3 remixes of that song on multiply, and they all were so good. Let me know if its something you would want me to re-post
