MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

1. i missed The Good, The Bad and The Queen on David Letterman last night.

2. I might not be able to go see Bloc Party/Albert Hammond Jr. in Royal Oak on the 24th. I finally looked at our calendar last weekend and noticed my husband is on call. He had it set up to change call with someone else but his boss might not let him. I will have to let my daughter go with a friend. I am sure she will be seriously hurt having to go with a friend to a rock show instead of her mother.

3. i think i am growing a penis. living in a house with 4 males is tainting to my exposure to culture and my activities. my 3 year old twins are currently obsessed with star wars. i got sick of watching kids' television and put in star wars for them last week. we then watched Empire Strikes Back. I went and pulled out what star wars toys we still had kicking around from my 11 year old. I put a black cape on one and a white karate coat on the other and they dress up as darth and luke. i have to answer questions like: why does darth wear black? what is the force? what is a jedi? etc, etc.

my 11 year old son tivo's south park and family guy episodes. When he comes home from school i easily watch a couple episodes of these each a day. i was driving him to school the other day and Hot for Teacher by Van Halen came on and i was reliving my youth and accidently introduced him to Van Halen. So now i hear RATM or Van Halen cranked. Last night we watched Tenacious D and the pick of destiny. I have also had to watch documentaries about thermoplyae because of 300 coming out.

Luckily i am not a girly girl anyway but i feel i am going to have to read a danielle steel novel and listen to some celine dion to get some estrogen into my life.

Just put on a summer dress, get some daisies from Meijer and run around barefoot. It is at least a little warm here now. Basically act out Sound of Music in your front yard. That always does it for me....beside...Celine isn't going to help _anybody_ and Danielle Steel??? Well, I guess we'll never know.

i thought i just needed to go to the most estrogen drenched cultural experiences i could think of to level out all the maleness i am currently experiencing.

not warm enough for all that here today...it is a cool and slightly biting 33. having a warm day or two followed by a cold one is like getting your hopes up and then coming back down to reality. quite a blow.

Felt the same way when I lived with 5 girls in college, except during that time I felt my penis disappeared. As for the Star Wars thing, be thankful its not Star Trek.

Coming from a female-dominated household (I now am fortunately to inhabit a gender-balanced family ecosystem), I used to compensate by rocking out, loudly. The problem was it was all too easy to overcompensate, if you know what I mean. That's what I think Celine and Danielle (aren't the first names enough of a tipoff?) will do to you. The estrogen flood is all too likely to decouple your senses. Not becoming.

I would not presume to make specific suggestions for writers and musicians who might work in their stead. However, if you were to search for the female counterparts to Stendhal and Antonio Carlos Jobim, you probably wouldn't go too far wrong....

rawkiddo did you start to make references to it being that time of the month for you? i now find throwing 'balls' into conversation hilarious. I also call people towels. "you're a towel, no you're a towel." it is not looking good for me.

i have just been putting on a lot of amy winehouse....she is more my kind of gal anyway.

i could do a quick weekend of chick flicks and girly drinks but i might not be able to complete a sentence by sunday.

i think it is a good sign that i haven't yet taken the "Which South Park character are you? " quiz.
