Joxley wrote a post several months ago about seeing Albert Hammond Jr. of the Strokes. Until that point I didn't know he had a solo album but Joxley linked to his video and i liked it but i had more pressing musical concerns.
I recently was listening to it on Multiply and my three year old son made me play "Cartoon Music for Superheroes" over and over and over again. I played it for my 17 year old and she demanded a copy of it.
He is opening for Bloc Party over here and will be at the Royal Oak Theatre on March 24th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (i saw WILCO there and i like it as a venue.) I tried to get tickets but it looks like they are not available yet.
It is a great album. (i scoff at julian casablancas.)
