My name's Matthew Antolick. I'm one of the founding members of the OaKs, out of Orlando, FL.

We recently showcased the 2007 CMJ Music Marathon in NYC, and we have three videos from the performance on Youtube, searchable under "CMJ 2007" or "The Oaks CMJ" - one of the videos is also up on our Myspace profile.

Some of our back story: My best friend (and co-founder of The OaKs) Ryan Costello spent two years in the mountains of Afghanistan with humanitarian organization Global Hope Network International, living with and teaching agriculture to recently-returned refugees. What he experienced in Afghanistan changed his life, and when he came back to the States late in 2005, we began writing and completely home-recording what would be come our first album, Our Fathers and the Things They Left Behind.

We're donating 50% of all download and album sale profits to widows and refugees in Afghanistan.
