MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Artist:
Album: Songs For Silverman
Track:

I dont know what it is about this song that i love so much, but i do. Actually, i have an idea. Its gotta be that small piano part at around 1:03 seconds. Its not complicated or flashy but every time I hear it I completely feel the mood of the song. As far back as i can remember certain songs have always resonated with me as a result of a certain chord or note that instantly makes me feel the song. The first songs i can remember doing this were songs from certain disney movies like the one in Robin Hood where Robin and the girl fox are walking in the moonlight and near some waterfall, something like "love, seems like only yesterday", or that one song that cinderella sings while she cleans the basement and all the bubbles are everywhere. That was when i was three and had no concept of love in the sense they were being sung about, but i knew i liked those songs. Ever since then, various random songs could capture me like that, all seeming un-connected songs that i still associate with one another. The Beatles- Michelle, Weezer- Only In Dreams, Circa Survive- Meet Me in Montauk, Led Zeppelin- Ten Years Gone, Coltrane and Ellington- In a Sentimental Mood, and plenty of others. They all have that one part that just takes me into the song. I might be vague with what im saying but i seriously dont know any other way to describe it. Its not what is being said, but how its being said. Get it? Probably not. Maybe i'm insane. Does anybody else have songs that would fit my poor desciptions?

Of course! That's the magic of music: when it's good, it can transport you out of your life for a moment.
