TV ads for the imminent release of the film version of "Sweeney Todd" starring Johnny Depp have brought to mind the Amazing Lea Delaria (Actor, Broadway Star, Stand-up Comic, Jazz Vocalist.) In 2001 Delaria released an album of jazzed-up versions of Broadway songs. Among them is Stephen Sondheim's "The Ballad Of Sweeney Todd."
