MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Artist:
Album:

I just took a little 10 minute break from work and walked down to the record store a block away. I was intending on purchasing two copies of PULSE, the new Pink FLoyd DVD (one for me, one for my cousin). As I was standing in the checkout line, I look over and see Neil Young's Heart of Gold. I went to watch the movie at a local theater and loved it, so I also picked it up as well. I cannot describe to you how happy I am that PULSE has finally been released for Region 0 DVD players. I'm tired of watching non-remastered copies with shitty sound. You are jelous.

Is it all Gilmour , or is Water's in the movie as well, because if he is than yes, I am jealous. Gilmour is great, but Floyd isn't Floyd without Roger Waters.

I'm more jealous that you've got a record store a block away from where you work.

Parker - Naw man, this is after the falling out between Gilmour and Waters, Guy Pratt is on bass guitars. I would cream myself if they released Delicate Sound of Thunder on DVD which is all the original members.

Waters is currently doing a Dark Side tour which is actually really annoying to me. If floyd ever got together anywhere in north america to do one last show forever. I'd be there in a heartbeat. I missed out on them because of my age.

Puff - Having a record store a block away from work isn't all that great. I get paid and spend it all there. I saw the new Beastie Boys DVD there too, the one filmed by the crowd and had to pretend like I didn't see it because these 3 DVDs made me $80 less rich.

Oh poor baby. You know I understand the blues of spending all of your hard earned cash at the record store. For all of my moaning, at least it is a legal vice to have.

I have to admit that I know nothing about PULSE. Y'all can make as much fun of me as you want. I don't much about Pink Floyd except the stuff with Syd Barrett. However, I do understand the need to pick up Heart of Gold. I saw it recently and it is a keeper. There was so much joy in that concert. I wish that I had been there.

lila d - I haven't seen new york doll. The first I'd heard of the Dolls was actually when I read your post, I looked into them a little bit, they seem cool. I'll check them out when I can.

Ehh...all I know is that 'Pulse' is filled with a whole lot of Gilmour's sluggish, mid-tempo, watery, new-agey shite - and they left off 'Astonomy Domine'! Sorry, but that's a deal-breaker for me. (And yes, Sethpian and I saw this tour at Yankee Stadium, June 1994, so I know whereof I speak. 'Astonomy Domine' and 'One of These Days' were the absoulte highlights.) Sorry, but Gilmour Floyd is just not really where it's at.
