MC Hammer released a new album recently, I can't find much information about it except on the itunes music store, so I'm thinking it's an 'exclusive.' While listening to the new music tuesday podcast, I was taken off guard when the caster said something about the new hammer album after 20years. She played a 30 second clip of one song and it sounds exactly like all the other rappers out there right now, something to put in your tricked out ride, turn the bass all the way up and rattle ever building you drive by because you penis is way too small, or you are too young to even remember who this guy is. I mean, with appearances from the likes of Dasit (Duh zit?), YB, Stooge Playaz and IP how can you possible go wrong? I would have a little more respect for hammer if he'd come back wearing his signature 'hammer pants' and did his little sidestepping dance in all of his videos. Does anyone else remember the taco bell commercial he did where he jumped off of a building and his pants acted as a parachute? How about the cartoon he came out with called 'hammer man'? I'd have to say that even moreso than the music, this cartoon impacted my life ten times over. The nice little morals and messages at the end brought to you by noneother than hammer himself were just so insightful. There really isn't much I can say other than this album is like a car accident that you can't stop looking at, except in this case I'm pointing and laughing. I leave you with these two wonderful memories of MC Hammer. Please Hammer... don't make albums, you are not 'gangsta'.

mm you just busted mc hammer wide open, saying he isn't gangsta, uh oh man, you better watch your back, hammer's commin to get you

well, i guess he has to do something to make some money. didn't he broke himself? i think i remember one of those VH1 life of things on him where e blew everything, so maybe that's all it is. the hammer needs some money. maybe they should do a new season of hammerman. that would probably be more profitable.

Ha ha, oh dear! Hammer was my first concert (check my page), and I remember the cartoon. He was real big for a while. Is he still a priest or whatever? I heard he went bankrupt a long time ago, so no wonder he is trying a come back to rinse the music industry.

yeah, basically he blew all of his money because he thought his career was going to last forever. He spent somewhere around 20 million on his house alone, the bank took it all when he started becoming unpopular. I remember watching the cartoon, it was like the fat albert cartoon where at the end MC Hammer would come on the screen and explain the painfully obvious moral of the story.

painfully obvious to some
a cornerstone of beliefs for others...

Hammer was the man back in the day. I never heard the new album and I was not even interested when I saw one of the videos because I agree with what you said about it sounding like the new rap artists. Grow up, Hammer!!
