Yes, Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress) co-authored by Allan Clarke, Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway has been played a gazillion times, but with Clarke’s sweet guitar opening and that pounding drum/ bass guitar back beat, this song epitomizes everything that rocks in rock.

    dermahrk says Hmmm. While I love the Hollies, I have never cared for this song. To me, the classic Hollies sound has to include those phenomenal harmonies, with Graham Nash on top. I couldn't rekindle my interest in the band after Graham left.
