MARILLION: " CHELSEA MONDAY " and " FUGAZI ".

Posted almost 4 years ago
Two tracks from the early years of Marillion. "Chelsea Monday" is taken from "Script for a Jester`s Tear", and the video "Fugazi", which is the titletrack for the 2nd album. This was the time when "FISH" was the frontman of the band. Script for a Jester's Tear (1983) (UK sales 300,000 Platinum) .Marillion formed in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England in 1979, their recorded studio output comprises fourteen albums and is generally regarded as comprising two distinct eras, that of original vocalist "Fish" who helmed the band at arguably their most popular (critically and commercially), and his replacement Steve Hogarth, who joined the band after Fish's departure in 1989. The band's differing styles between the two vocalists has often been known to divide fans..MARILLION - CHELSEA MONDAYCatalogue princess, apprentice seductressHiding in her cellophane world in glitter townAwaiting the prince in his white CapriDynamic young Tarzan courts the bedsit queenShe's playing the actress in this bedroom sceneShe's learning her lines from glossy magazinesStringing all her pearls from her childhood dreamsAuditioning for the leading role on the silver screenPatience my tinsel angelPatience my perfumed childOne day they really love youYou'll charm them with that smileBut for now it's just another Chelsea MondayDrifting with her incense in the labyrinth of LondonPlaying games with faces in the neon wonderlandPerform to scattered shadows on the shattered cobbled aislesWould she dare recite soliloquies at the risk of stark applauseShe'll pray for endless Sundays as she enters saffron sunsetsConjure phantom lovers from the tattered shreds of dawnFulfilled and yet forgotten the St. Tropez mirageFragrant aphrodisiac, the withered tuberosePatience my tinsel angel, patience my perfumed childOne day they really love you, you'll charm them with that smileBut for now it's just another Chelsea Monday[Hello John, did you see The Standard about four hours ago?Fished a young chick out of The Old FatherBlond hair, blue eyes.
