YES - SOON
-
Artist:
One of my favourite Yes tracks! Soon from Relayer (added as an extra track for the 2003 re-issue).
Relayer is the seventh studio album by the progressive rock band Yes. Recorded and released in 1974, it is the only Yes studio album to feature Patrick Moraz, who replaced keyboardist Rick Wakeman earlier in the year.
Yes - Soon
Soon oh soon the light
Pass within and soothe THIS endless night
And wait here for you
Our reason to be here
Soon oh soon the time
All we move to gain will reach and calm
Our heart is open
Our reason to be here
Long ago, set into rhyme
Soon oh soon the light
Ours to shape for all time, ours the right
The sun will lead us
Our reason to be here
The sun will lead us
Our reason to be here

This is a very under rated release. Nice post.
Thanks Wiz :-)
YES!YES!
Had not heard this and again, a real good listen. Thanks
Relayer--by far my favorite Yes album. This is, imo, the most adventurous and truly progressive of their albums. Alan White never sounded better than he did on Soundchaser, and the middle section of Gates of Delirium features almost Magma-like basswork from the incomparable Chris Squire. Regardless of relative obscurity, to me this is THE Yes album.
Yes have always been one of my faves. Thanks for reminding me why.
