The song is originally from the album "Time Honoured Ghosts". The music is recorded on the tour 76/77.TIME HONOURED GHOSTS - B.J.H.B.J.H. - LIVE TAPESB A R C L A Y..J A M E S.. H A R V E S TO N E..N I G H T:..................................... You took all my moneyI left you no nameMy love and my moneyDid you think I would chase it in the rain? My eyes are now openBut what do I see?One ride after midnightHad I thought it would mean that much to me? CHORUS: Everybody needs someone to loveEverybody needs a friendEverybody needs someone to careDo you think you can make it in the end?Do you think that you can make it, my friend? I thought it was easyBut what did I knowOf old men and first bloodOr the drunk who gets taken blow by blow? The dice are all loadedYou pay by the throwBut you pay the loserSeems the rain is turning into snow CHORUS We stand round your doorwaysYou hang on the wallsYour frames are your windowsPut your bodies on the stallsYou take all our moneyWe leave you no nameWe're dealt just the one cardBut the dealer plays in every game CHORUS

  1. crthead says WOW, there's a blast from my past. I will have to dig up the album I have. I can't remember the name of it, but I'm sure I've got it somewhere. Really cleaned out some cobwebs for me with this one!!

  2. tangerman says A great band indeed! Nowadays they are divided into two groups! Barclay James Harvest featuring Les Holroyd, and Barclay James Harvest through the eyes of John Lees (John Lees Barclay James Harvest). Go to the artist lounge page, and listen to "Titles" from the same album , "time honoured ghosts", (posted by "oceanrain"). ANOTHER FAVOURITE! :-)
