Nowhere as exciting as Wrong, but I do believe that the album is going to be good....thanks for posting it!
To me Depeche Mode are a group who's sound you are either going to like or dislike... and it is a sound that I have never found enjoyable. Saga they are not. LOL
Thanks -- for the post. I am looking forward to the new release as well. Whether this new album will find an audience or not, I don't know but they've updated their sound are are staying relevant.
For a track entitled "Fragile Tension" it actually has few moments of either. Decent Violator-esque verse but let down by the heavy handed chorus. I hope the bulk of Sounds of the Universe is better than this (and "Wrong") if not it'll be a bit of a letdown.
Diggin' this one too. I'm loving the production of the songs I've heard so far off the album. It's a very crisp & clean sound, even with the dirty guitars. Thanks for the post.
The production values are clear, clean, and to my ears rather sterile! A few cool tunes. Not their best work.
