Excluding like four of us, its all top 40 lame stuff or hardcore gangster rap about girls and their nice plump asses.However, the mood is switching. Being the influential and forceful (aka bossy) person that I am, I control the music. Art class and computers mainly, but in occasional other classes as well. They've gone from screaming "EMO!" when Death Cab is playing to saying...arg we've already listened to Plans like twice this week. Not saying I'm the only one changing their minds or anything. However, my best friend who basically hated all emo music and only liked rap has branched out now. Sending Dashboard songs to his girlfriend and downloading My Chemical Romance. Crazzzziness. Last computer class I played a lot of Metric, and people recognized it. Shiny Toy Guns..."hey i've heard this song." Even when some softer post-hardcore stuff came on, no complaints. A few snickers, but slowly, slowly, my class is coming around.Basically they all like Imogen Heap. So whatever, this is totally random, but an encouragement. Don't give up, just keep switching artists around until you find some classics that fit. Don't go crazy---CocoRosie basically freaked them all out. HAHA. Merry Christmas and Happy Listening.
