  6. EmergencyTrap says I turned 20 a little while back and it's the best year I've had yet. It's fun to be young, but it's nice to leave teen angst behind :) Happy Birthday.

  7. gakker says Wow...love Ladytron...love this song...and yes, 17 was a good year for me, too. But I wouldn't want it back. Here's why: at 17, yes life was new, life was fun, i was out on my own, going to school, making friends, sneaking into bars, living it up. but my friends were flaky, nothing was stable, and i had no money. at 17, it sounded fun to hop in a friend's car and drive to san diego, but not so fun when said friends decided they weren't coming back to phoenix and i had no money to get back. oh, and i had finals the next week. none of them were in school, so they didn't care. so we scrounged up some money, bought a jar of no-label peanut butter and a loaf of bread to survive on, and i had to call my parents (who didn't even know i was out of town) to have them buy me a plane ticket to get back...totally humiliating, scary, and really not so much fun. At 30, life isn't as "fun", but at least i can come home to my house, eat out wherever i want or cook a nice meal, and travel wherever i want without fear of having to get bailed out... so, even though it's not as thrilling, i would argue that life is even better now.
