BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Melbourne solo act Whitley shares the moods of many Australian acoustic roots artists, but what sets him apart from the Josh Pyke's and Bob Evans of this industry and shows so strongly on his last release, The Submarine, is his confident use of intoxicating samples, scattering beats, sigh-inducing backing vocals and violins all elevating this folktronica gem into a bittersweet journey for the audiophile.

The troubadour is packing his duffle bag and heading off to the US this March to kick around the country as support act to singer/songwriter Tristan Prettyman. Before flying off into the wild blue yonder he's been performing a string of sweet intimate gigs around Aus.
