Cure-esque lovely lovely band-with a chick bass player!

I chatted with these guys after their set at the W.O.W. Hall one night. They opened for Built to Spill, and went down to the bar afterwards. I can't remember the girl's name(bass player/vocals), but she was really nice. Their named the Prids because her ex used to call her priddy priddy prid...(like pretty pretty..). If you like the Cure, check these kids out.

Juliette Rocks Live!!!

I saw Juliette both times she came to Eugene! She is so rad. I got her to sign my cd, as well as everyone else in the band. Then, the second time I saw her, I got a guitar pick from their drummer, Slippy Womack. I had so much fun, and I got so drunk, they 86'd me from the bar. Hahaha....

Seen on Austin City Limits

After the bar one night, I came home and munched out in front the tube. Austin City Limits came on OPB and they played My Morning Jacket. Their melodic tunes totally captured me, and I picked up the cd I think the next day, or day after. Definitely in my heavy rotation at home.

I found "Home" at Goodwill-Great Score!!!!!!!!!

This woman's voice is incredibly beautiful. She did a show in Seattle with Kristen Hersch, and I bet it was awesome. I love singing along with this cd. I found a promo copy of it at Goodwill in Eugene two years ago. Lovely!!!

Modest Mouse was my intro to indie

New to the west coast a few years ago, my head was jammed with radio hits. They started sounding really boring and blase...then someone gave me a modest mouse cd and I was introduced to indie rock, an undiscovered treasure cove of awesome music. Thanks, Seattle sound!

This is the best cd to clean house with...Rasputina is really cool...I love the 18th century bordello outfits, too.

HEEEHEEE...Me First!

The first song really rocks.. He talks about cutting someone's face with a boxcutter knife...the next couple of songs are good, then the rest of the album sucks.

On chance, I caught them on a listening station at CD World. Needless to say, I was quite pleased. That was an immediate purchase.
