You know what Dosh reminds me of..I'll tell you! Dosh reminds me of the good old days of doing mushrooms with my roommates and staring at the iTunes visualizer for hours on end. It reminds me of the first time I went on a date and threw my food up on her. It reminds me of all these beautiful moments in my life that I will not soon forget, unless of course I get an early start on the amnesia that I know will corrupt my life in time...my God i can barely remember what I had for breakfast, in 50 years I will be lucky to remember where my toilet is. While everyone is so obsessed with crystal-clear production and rare drum samples, this cat and his abounding supply of experimental tools (Dictaphone tape, faders, mutes, effects pedals, homemade recording modules) together craft harmonies that take the listener in immediately. A couple tracks even have that notable Anticon-esque hard-drum sentiment, in case the kids need something to flow to. Though the beats are mostly live, the production is what you would expect from this prolific label - quality-sounding with that classic and unscathed authenticity.
