This makes me think of all the moments in life...

when people brought up the question, what if we are all just atoms inside something much bigger. I often forget how small I am and these images are almost comforting in a way. One day, I dream to take a rocket out into the cosmos and I am thankful for people like Richard Branson who are trying to make my dream a reality.

  2. The Serenity Vortex says Yep.....every time I see those models my mind boggles about how small we are and the immense size of space. In a way though we still have an influence on it, as we are part of it. Nice one dude.

  6. Lady Miss Ian says Hey Annie - I guess I was going more for the "there are no small parts, only small actors" perspective. Like, we all have our place in the universe. Hope it didn't sound like I was veering off into penis territory - cuz that's not where I wanted to go.

  10. RobinH says I always feel completely humbled when I reflect on the size of the Universe. Just started my Open University short course on "How The Universe Works", so looking forward to lots of mindblowing concepts.

  11. poebegone says one of my favorite life lessons is regarding the sphere: "The points on the sphere are all the same distance from a fixed point." (Wikipedia) in sacred geometry, it is interpreted as: "There is no point of view given greater or lesser importance, and all points on the surface are equally accessible and regarded by the center from which all originate."
