I won't apologize for The things I've done and said But when I win your heart, I'm gonna paint it cherry red

If anyone knows Love, its ex-Foreigner frontman, Lou Gramm. Tough guy meets a party girl and its all champagne bubbles and ecstacy tablets. Possibly, these lyrics carry over to our "regular-people lower-case love". There is something to be said for striving for someone who you want to make happy, therefore making yourself happy. I mean, the emo community might contest that: If theres no drama then theres no hightened feeling... but i feel that even when theres an ends, a closing of a conquest... getting what you want, there can still be love after figuring things out.

In retrospect, ive been burned badly after figuring things out. Its possible that being in limbo with someone is the guarrantee that things continue...

I think its hilarious your top artist this month is Type O Negative. Who knew?

Also don't be fooled, emo boys and girls love to win. Half their material is about being rejected, but a good part of it is about getting it and savoring it. For every Dashboard Confessional song about breakups, there's a song for getting laid, or hoping to get laid, or thinking about maybe one day possibly getting laid. You gotta dig deep for the metaphor, but they're there.

In conclusions, you never cease to amaze me. Keep on rocking in the free world.

if Adam pulled his head out of his ass for one minute, he'd realize that Type O Negative is a great band and that metal is the lifesblood for those of us who need to rock. yes, i love Mono, Fennesz, etc., but nothing can make a good time even better like a good metal riff. sometimes Patti Smith isn't rock enough... you love me!

I love flooring the gas pedal out of a turn in MY car. Hell, I love flooring it in any circumstance. The whine of MY engine, the pitch of the air coming through MY windows ever-increasing, time seems to slow down. I also love The Darkness.

Somehow these two childish concessions are linked. They are both an impulsive sort of love. The kind you tell a girl you dated 2 weeks in high school all about. Note the past tense. Does this "impulse" constitue a higher level of enjoyement. A shedding of a veneer to instantaneously take part in something you know could have complicated consequences? Not a major lack of judgement, just a internal sort of rebellion?

I think the impulsive behavior you're talking about is a sort of shedding of the future tense. It's "being in the moment." To truly be in the moment is not to simply be exhuberant and joyous. It's to literally take oneself out of the past and future, and place oneself directly in the path of the present without thinking of consequences, because in this context they cease to exist.

When you rock out in your car you're not worrying about whether this song will become a hit or what to do when you get home, or where your girlfriend is. You're concentrating on how sick that guitar solo is, how fucking hard the drums kick, how funky the bass line is, and how fast the world seems to fly by even with the feeling of time loosening its constraints on you. It's "pure being"! It's the pure being ball thing incranate!

So its like going back to the same hooker every time you vacation in Miami, even though EVERY YEAR you get gonorrhea. You know your gonna hate yourself afterwards, but shes SO GOOD, SO GOOD, SO GOOD!!!

The following image is my completion of a sub-part of the assignment for my design class mentioned in the last post. We were to re-label a current "map" therefore changing both the map itself and the set of data put into it. I chose my music taste, and what I thought to be an applicable engine for them, a japanese constellation diagram.
