Album:
...entitled The Modern Tribe, by the ever-glorious-by-the-second Celebration. was hoping for something as jaw-droppingly unique and brilliant as their debut, but holy shit, i was not expecting divinity! they manage even more so to cash in on their primal-cabaret-tribal-funk-new wave-soul, simultaneously channeling everyone from Pollly Jean Harvey ("Pony") to fucking Fela Kuti ("Hands Off My Gold," "Wildcats," which is a dazzling, sexy one you can't help but move to), and STILL manage to sound like no one else but their beautiful, wonderful selves. how do they DO it?? i don't know, and don't care, as long as they keep on doing it. perfection. *****check out: "Wildcats," "Fly the Fly," "Our Hearts Don't Change" (mp3 post to come!). also, they are on tour now...if coming to a city near you, i urge you not to miss them! every time i've seen them they put on a killer show and play their hearts out. you won't be sorry!
