the cartel concert

Artist:
ok, so tonight i went to the cartel concert. now usually, cartel is not my cup of tea. but my friend beth really wanted me to go with her, and i couldnt give up the chance to see live music. so anyways, in preparation i downloaded some cartel songs, and was pleasantly surprised by the fact that i knew two of them.and im so glad i went. a local band, holiday parade opened for them. they were actually very good, i would recommend downloading some of their songs. but dearlordbabyjesus the lead singer of that band was SMOKING. i got my picture taken with him afterward (heheheh.)but anyways, my friend beth and i had a GREAT place to watch it, perfectly unobscured view of the stage right beside the speakers. (so im now deaf) and we managed to hold onto our place all night long im proud to say. so then another band, which was good, but not as good as holiday parade came on and played their set. this band was called gates of berlin and the lead singer was SO FUCKING DRUNK. he could hardly stand up! but anyways they were kinda catchy. the most memorable part of their set is when the lead singer yelled out "who knew vodka came in so many beautiful flavors?".i guess he knows now.and after that cartel came out. man, the place was jumpin then. ATL is cartel's home city, and the masquerade is a small venue. it was PACKED. and everyone knew all the words to every song. in a way, i think it was kinda beautiful and sad. its probably the last time cartel will play in a venue that small. they are getting more and more airtime on MTV and in feb. they are headlining a tour. but anyways, their set was very good, energetic and they ever played an encore.all in all tonight was a fabulous night and i had a great time. LIVE MUSIC KILLS.the end.
