so, anyways this weekend i went to a concert with my best mate, smee-mi. she is a huge fan of rocco deluca, and since she sucks at driving she bought me and her tickets to the show and begged me to take her. so saturday night i found myself gassing up my car and preparing to battle crazy drivers on the hour long drive to atlanta. (a drive i have only actually driven three times before in my life and frankly one that scares the mess outta me) after making a wrong turn once whilst looking for the roxy and having to use the GPS thingy on my iphone (love that device!) we fin ally got there. the opening bands were... interesting. i like the first one the best, except after a while they started to sound a bit like continuous eighties love ballads. but then they started talking a bit, and i realized, duh! they are gay! (which i know because the bass player said to they lead singer, "baby you are looking gorgeous tonight") so i guess that makes the songs eighty-ish style relevant. the next band, (sorry but i dont remember any names) really sounded like maroon 5. i predict they will enjoy a bit of fame in the next year. but they were alright, and soon rocco deluca took the stage. i must say, that man did some things with his guitar i never thought possible. someone behind me lit one up, and the next hour or so faded into a blur of guitar and moaned lyrics. it was great. it was amazing. he had so much... passion. i think that is the right word for it. he would take his on 3-4 min songs and turn them into 30 minute jams. it was just simply incredible.and he had some amazing backup percussionists. :]i didnt get to video anything cause i accidentally stepped on my camera and broke the screen :[ but anyway i like this song by him, colorful.

  1. Joxley says Sounds like you had a great time. I love it when bands jam for a bit rather than just cycling through the hits, makes everything feel much more organic.

  5. bassguitarhero says Oh yeah, Cream is incredible! I'm usually into almost all kinds of music, especially when it comes to bass players. I've even heard some in country music that are absolutely amazing, it's ridiculous.
