MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Artist:
Album: chrome children

I've been a big fan of the Stones Throw label for the past couple of years already but the latest batch of releases they put out somehow make them seem at the top of their game right now and at the same time adding some new colours to their roster. Oh No's album "Exodus Into Unheard Rhythms" is one of these albums - Oh No is Madlib's younger brother and on his album he is joined Vast Aire amongst (lots of) others. Also be sure to check out recent albums by Aloe Blacc, Georgia Anne Muldrow (somehow reminding me of Alice Coltrane/Pharoah Sanders astral jazz). Their most recent compilation "Chrome Children" also has a cool accompanying DVD with a SXSW label showcase featuring MF Doom killing it on the mic.

Thanks for the recs. With that description, Muldrow's stuff sounds really interesting.
