Wilco in the sweet spot

http://panicstream.com/nonwsp.htm5-10-97 at the Fillmore in SF, a show i saw when Wilco was one of my favs( still love them of course). it was on the heels of the glorious 2 dics Being There masterpiece. the sound on this stream only show, which is part of the great widespread panic fan site(http://www.panicstream.com/), is awesome!though i am not sure if this gets you to only the non WSP show page or the specific Wilco show( link seems the same), but it is right there either way. also, check out all the other gems that are here. anyway, this was back in the day when tweedy graced us with the love that was Uncle tupelo( one of my all time favorites) in songs like New Madrid, Gun and We've been had. this is great for fellow Wilco loving Moggers, or anybody who loves great rock n roll:

    B42 says I only have Mermaid Avenue in my Library and I know that's a poor example of their work, great album but not Wilco per se, so what's your favorite Steve?

    steve simon says jameson, right on my friend. 42, get being there and yankee hotel foxtrot, but for god sakes get every uncle tupelo album there is, it frames the whole thing, tweedy and jay farrar's( get son volt's brilliant first disc "trace" too, it is stunning) incredible collaboration on the ground breaking alt country/punk killer stuff that is Uncle Tupelo. all of you listen to the 97 fillmore and tell me that is not rock n roll
