Best Of 08'

1. Radiohead- In Rainbows. another stellar effort from the best band in the world. as always, it get's better with every listen

2. The Felice Brothers- The Felice Brothers. like a modern, rambshackled re-incarnation of The Band, their music has the same timeless quality. listen to the record, drink a bottle of tequila, get in a barroom fight. repeat

3. Dr. Dog- Fate. i have been wearing this one out, great harmonies and textures

4. Drive By-Truckers- Brigher Than Creation's Dark. another beautiful recording from one of my favorites. patterson Hood is a genius

5. Centro-Matic- South San Gabriel. this one is absolutely fantastic

honorable mention:

Belle and Sebastian- The BBC Sessions. a great compilation. i can't get enough of these guys, amazing songs and murdoch's heartbreaking and soulful vocals are so unique. one of the first bands i discovered in( thanks to long lost max) the first few weeks of MOG's existence
