So I'm just going to say that I love when my favorite bands record/play really good covers (minus cartel doing wonderwall live, because well yeah, like THAT was original. and it wasn't even good). I really enjoyed Anberlin's cover of Love Song and Hellogoodbye doing Fight For Your Right , but nothing, I mean nothing gets me better than when bands cover classic old-school ballads--Copeland doing Phil Collins' 'Another Day in Paradise' or the Postal Service doing 'Against All Odds' to name two of my all time favorites. Well needless to say I've come across another cover that I am absolutely in love with, and it's Quietdrive doing Cyndi Lauper's 'Time After Time'. Yes Cyndi Lauper, and yes Time After Time. And yes, I think it's perfectly executed with just the right amount of sticking to the classic melody of the song but with a new(er) more upbeat twist. Enjoy the song, and if you get a chance check out the album (which I admit is not a recent top 10 for me, but let's just say top 20 which is still great).
