Sorry this is a bit late, no time in life. But i will start at the beginning for this one. The first act was Sherwood. The lead singer was sick, he played, but couldnt sing. i couldnt tell, both the voices sounded pretty much the same. but they were good. the piano guy was really good, always jumping around, and looked like William from The Academy is...(except with glasses). Their set lasted about 30 min and ended with the sond "Song in My Head." I recommend this band and i believe they are touring with Motion City Soundtrack. the next band was Mae. they were a bit more rock than alternative(sherwood-more alternative than rock). the first few songs were not bad. lots of guitars, which you could definatly hear, and a keyboard, which you couldnt really hear, and a drummer who i didnt really pay attention to. after about 6 songs it got to the point where everyone was saying "ok when is relient k going one". i am not saying they werent good, but their set was too long for a non headliner. after their last song "Someone else's arms"(i think), they finally left the stage. so the anticipation was for relient k, who quickly took the stage because of all the chants. relient k, in darkness, took the stage!!the first thing you notice were the lights, very interesting. it made an ADD kid happy! ok, they came out playing Who i am hates who i've been, a popular song. then they went on to pressing on, a song from the album Anatomy of A Tounge In A Cheek, and a few songs frome random old albums. then they went into their new stuff such as the songs Forgiven and then the popular Must Have Done Something Right. when they finished that set they did a gew acoustics and a cover of weezer's surf wax amercia, accompanied by a giant "fire" and hawaiian island sound. a few more new songs, then some song about taxes(Life and death after taxes, i think), and to finish the set, Which to Bury Us or the Hatchet?, which was amazing at the piano part at the end. they left the stage, but.......the crowd demanded an encoure, which they accepted! they first played the cheezy song Sadie Hawkins Dance" which is so cheezy, everyone loves. not a bad song to crowd surf to either, then Be My Escape which had the crowd moshing like crazy for a christian concert. to sum up, relient k is amazing in concert and you will love them even if you dont know much of their songs. they used a banjo!!!! they also mosh and crowd surf at these things too!!! Christians, as a group, are very weak so you might fall, but they are so nice and pick you up and put you right up again. i got to the 4th row by that!

Coming from a catholic family, i should go to many christian concerts. i have never really been to any on my own will to a band i have actually heard of. thats why tomorrow is a pivotal point in my little christian concet life. i am going to the relient k, Mae, and sherwood concert at Jannus Landing. this first started out as a graduation present to a few friends, but i am kind of looking forward to it. i know a few relient k songs so i will sing along to a few. what i am really looking forward to is seeing if people mosh or crowd surf at christian concerts. i know they do at underOath, but thats different. so whether i will be converted to deep christian faith or be able to mosh, i am sure i will enjoy it.
