mog-o-matic, you make me sad.

Hey all.
As much as I dig the whole MOG thing, I had to uninstall the little mog-o-matic thingy from my computer cause it was eating up all of my resources, pretty much constantly. Sucks, I know. I was talking with Jenny about this community versus the last.fm community and I agree with her that people are a lot friendlier and open over here. I'm gonna try and keep my page manually updated with whatever I've been listening to and try and stay in the loop anyways, though.

hey there

wow. i'd forgotten i had signed up over here earlier in the summer until my last.fm friend, Jenny, sent me a link to her page over here. Figured I'd go ahead and finish the job, so 16,000 + tracks are MOGGED and ready to go.
Here's some stuff I've been obsessed with lately:
The Twilight Singersespecially their cover of "Live With Me" from Massive Attack with Mark Lanegan on vocals. Just downloaded the ep off of iTunes with the studio version of this. Totally amazing.
The Afghan Whigs- I've been in a Greg Dulli kind of mood over the last couple of months. Probably not a good thing, since the last time I was listening to the Whigs this much, I ended up splitting up from my first wife. He's a fucking great lyricist, though. Gentleman is an all-time classic for me.
Akron/Family-Meek Warrior- I've slept on these guys for far too long. I'd picked up the disc with the Angels of Light from last year and I kind of dug that but never gave it the proper listen it deserved. The new one is fantastic, though. All it took was hearing a track from their first album on a mix that my friend, Jen T. gave me a few weeks ago. (one I'm still trying to figure out, by the way).
Bardo Pond-Ticket Crystals- These guys just keep getting better and better. On the Ellipse was in super-heavy rotation for me when it came out, but this one...wow. Soooo great. Psychedelic, crushingly beautiful and heavy as fuck at the same time. Can not get enough of it.
