You have those moments where reality seems to be fading and things seem to be colliding for no reasons. Moments of introspection lead to connections lead you back to randomness. Then you pick up a book and all of a sudden, you realize that maybe your thoughts have been thought before. Or you listen to a song and you get the same connection. It is beyond the pedal pushed and makes you push pedals till petal pushing because bikes in the city at least let you know you are alive.
El-P and a friend led me to Phillip K. Dick, and while so many of El-P's song contain references and similarities to Dick's work, i found these video today and it echoed a bunch PKD as well as Ayn Rand. And yes this collaboration (flyentology)got slightly slammed, but I like the song and i think the animation is pretty great. and smithereens might be the best song on his new album.
Oh, and apologies for the ramble, disassociation runs strong today.
back to the summertime vibrations. NYC is blessed. It starts in the spring when man's mind wanders at will with gazes at the sights and we're not talking about sky scrapers. and i'm married to a beautiful women, and i know i'm not the only one. despite that still go back to the rest to rest monogamous with no stress and temptation no test cause i could resist with will. but still; hope is hope and maybe the mormon's were onto something just like Dilla before his passing was onto something, not in the baller baller player way, but in the honesty and open way. it is just the flip side of the coin that the fragile male psyche can't imagine.....
RIP Dilla:

You know, most times I agree with those cultures that say a man can have as many wives as he can support. But, then there are those times when my girl is really stressing me that I think to myself, "Would I really want TWO of these?!!?"
But, honestly, I've always believed that polyamory is the way to go. Whoever decided that a man was meant to be with one woman for the rest of his life, obviously didn't have a dick.
As a married man, I can feel what both of yall brothers are saying. I love my wife to death but, but before I met my wife I was already deep in love with the female species. I think its in a man's nature to go out and conquer (for lack of a better word) unchartered territory. I am presented with this on a daily basis, but I gave my wife the oath that I would be faithful to her and her alone. With that said, I will also admit that....That shit is hard!!! But i'm maintaining...
The heat of summer. Hot, opressive, sole melting concrete. Watch the kicks yo! And escape the city because, as burning spear put it, the city is too hot. The memories that serve correct are of spring break. When the weather is warm, not sweltering and the girls can be as slutty as they want, and the music! damn, the music of karate kid, eighties dreams, the lost boys, so it was that this video was greeted with extreme joy:

I just wrote a piece on El-P today. Believe me, you are not alone in your high praise of the brother and his art. I see that no one has responded to this post yet and it makes me sad. He's gonna be one of those artists that no one appreciates until he is no longer making music, then all the El-Producto fans are gonna come outta the woodworks. Good post famo!!
