Bringing Back Ska One Mogger At A Time

I don't think anyone read my previous post about ska. Quick review:I miss it. Is it still around? If not, it's time to bring it back.Here's one from the Pietasters, a DC area ska band that I saw live many times during my high school days. They're still around, but different.If anyone has any recommendations for great ska bands currently producing music, let me know! Especially in the SoCal area.

Early Morning Clash

Yeah. I know, everyone under the sun knows The Clash, but I woke up this morning to Revolution Rock and thought I'd let everyone else have a taste.I think a lot of their best stuff was the heavily reggae-influenced sound. And thank goodness for it, because we may never have had bands like The Specials or Bad Manners without it.

Am I the only one who misses ska?

When I was in high school, back in 95-97, I was really into the ska scene. Anyone else who knows the term "third wave" knows what I'm talking about.It's true that a lot of the bands to come out of the all-too-brief resurgence were pretty terrible.
