don't you love it when you play a cd that you've heard before, but you hear it in a completely different way?? for me, it's even better than hearing it the first time, because you already knew you liked it, but now you realize that you love it...i was at the library over the weekend and while i was trying to tune out people talking in a language i couldn't understand (a waste of perfectly good eavesdropping skills, i might add), i opened up itunes and randomly selected dylan's time out of mind. i just might have to put this one up in my top five dylan albums, at least for a little while. it was some of the best music i've really listened to lately. i was in the perfect mood for it (slightly depressed, and enjoying it), and it was just...right.wow. i just realized that i may be having a relationship with music about relationships (and such).and now for the scandal. tower records is going out of business. damn. one less place to buy overpriced music. i usually stay away from overpriced chain stores (but only the overpriced ones cause i'm in grad school and i can't afford to be a complete music snob), but like any normal girl, i can't walk away from a sale sign, especially when it's in front of a few hundred cds. they are totally screwing people over down there at the tower though, because they leave their cds marked up at 19 bucks apiece or more, and then call them 40% off, which means you're still paying at least $12 a cd. whatever, it worked on me. in the past month i have given tower records more of my student loan money than i care to admit. but i got some great cds! and isn't that the point?only, buying cheap music from store like that feels so...cheap. i guess this is the cheating in my relationship.heavy.****this is not philosophy while stoned 101. but it could be.
