I have discovered what I like to think of as a secret of the universe. Anytime you feel depressed, just listen to Head Over Heels by Tears for Fears. If possible, picture the corresponding scene from Donnie Darko, one of the greatest movies of our time. If my theory is correct, any feelings of disdain or sadness will quickly pass, leaving only shiny, plastic coated 80's joy. It really is astonishing. In other news, I just found out about Say Anything, a great LA band. They seem pretty average, and the lead singer seems like he can be a bit moody and insane, but they write some damn good songs. The radio jammer right now, "Alive With the Glory of Love" is just so hard not to listen to 24/7. Great, catchy lead vocals, awesome harmonies, just a great all around band. Plus, named after one of the absolute best 80's movies there is. Check em out.
