Well 2 weeks ago the tea kettle rusted through and began leaking, that meant a trip to the Goodwill was in order. These places are all alike, they are creepy and full of junk, but i've grown quite fond of them in the past year. Well i found a yellow tea kettle from the 70's, it's nice, insulated really well.....getting to the point i took a little trip to the record/book room and began looking for..anything. A lot of the time, when i buy records, i get music that i have little knowledge about, sometimes i end up with terrible music. I spent my 99 cents wisely though, I bought 'Music Box' a promotional record for A&M records..and Bankamericard? well Herb Alpert made sure he got on the record multiple times, but it also includes Wes Montgomery, Claudine Longet, The Sandpipers, Jimmie Rodgers, Baja Marimba Band, and Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66.

The only reason I got this album was because I'd just discovered Space Age Pop music, it is the music that i secretly listen to and try not to share with people..not that it's embarassing or anything, i just don't know if anyone would understand. People are led to believe that they should not like this music, maybe they just don't, but I do.

So, the song Look Around by Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 is on this album, I kept playing it over and over until i couldn't stand it and then I'd come back a few hours later and listen some more.

"That happy leaf's going to the fair.."

I'm over my 'Music Box' phase (I think) It was good while it lasted & I suggest that everyone take a trip down to the Salvation Army or Goodwill..and pick up this album, it'll be there, and it'll be a wise way to spend your 99 cents.

Well that was the end, but there is another part to the story

After I left the record/book room I saw something that made me feel indescribable. It was so exciting, I knew when I saw it that i had been searching for it my (entire?) life, even though I had not.

It made me feel complete, in a way.

Up on top of a dresser, hidden in a dark corner, was a sad clawn painting. And I bought it and hung it above my bed.

It is hideous.

Someone should upload some Delaney & Bonnie & Friends tunes i would if i could, but i am not that technically advanced..anyways i've only got their music on vinyl.
