You heard "Short Fat Fanny" by Little Richard before, but you should watch & listen to this superior version. Billy was working for Little Richard when this video was made but i couldn´t find any reference of this song being released so maybe it was just a video edit.

Absolutely AWESOME! I love this - a lot more than his solo hits later in the 60s & 70s. SoulRocket, YOU THE MAN.

This, as dermahrk astutely notes, totally cooks. Looks like it might be "Shindig." Billy was a regular on the show, after all.....

i watched it three times so far. partly due to the novelty of my new dsl connect, but yeah, he's really ripping it up. i have his "music is my life" lp, but that's it. i'm gonna have to get some of the earlier recordings.

Great performance. Wow.
It took me a while to realize that the original was actually a Larry Williams hit, but on the same Specialty label and probably featuring many of the same musicians. I remember hearing it on the radio in 1957 and the deejay saying, "He's just a Little Richard imitator." Little Richard's sound left plenty of room for other singers to share.

Wow! It is amazing the transformation he made from star to session guy to star again. I actually worked a Gospel project he did in 2002, I think. Talent never goes out o' style.

I remember hearing it on the radio in 1957 and the deejay saying, “He’s just a Little Richard imitator.” all i can say is i wished i have been there, Spike. Also thanks for bringing the original here. Oddly enough another version of this same video was tagged as Larry Williams & the credits in the beginning were earased. Thanks for your comments, guys.
