  2. annieander says On Saturdays, sometimes I have a free moment to enjoy Namaste on a local tv station in the Bay Area. It is an Indian video show full of beautiful women and hoards of men...usually the videos feature a male and female singer. There are multiple costume changes and changes in locations (one minute high atop the Materhorn in the Alps, the next they are aside a tropical river or in an oasis). This reminds me of that without the singing. Very fun...the second piece has a Kenny G feel to it.

  3. mickimicki says Amazing. The first one doesn't sound too Indian... or I had no idea how funky it can get there. The second one is just beautiful... like some 70s soundtracks. I think I need that second one. Having difficulties with the titles though. (Is what sounds like a clarinet really a clarinet, or some Indian instrument? ;-)

  4. mickimicki says Wow, Ishq Bina is downloadable from their page. Getting the CD is prolly harder... shame they don't accept paypal.

  5. soulrocket says annie- i checked namaste on google, a yoga tv show with eastern music. sounds cool to me. did you say kenny g? you killed me there :-P micki- i guess that is a clarinet but you have a better ear for that than i do those are the best songs from the cd, the rest of the tracks must be great when they play them live but they are so-so. i can upload that 2nd tune to multiply, i am placing the mp3 in a folder now.

  12. Dzendvokh says the tarantino/rodriguez pair of movies that just were released on video recently. I *know* you'll love them, right up your alley. You'll probably be able to find them through your channels. If not I'll try to get them to ya, cause I got them on my hard drive.

  16. soulrocket says moovy- that is not a bad description. i have been following the indian scene in london for quite a few years, from drum and bass, to ragga, to the classics... lots of great recordings. anna- the first tune always makes me feel like i want to jump on the table and raise my arm while i dance. i have been trying to upload more bollywood stuff but something is wrong with the codecs.. i will keep trying.

  18. poebegone says Danny, this is my kind of find. totally feeling it. endless thanks.

  19. soulrocket says bill- i have spun "ishq bina ishq bina" twice and both times the crowd went ape... tiger style, heh. poe- glad you enjoyed it. a lot of what comes out of the north of london (where most of the indian population resides) is worth a listen. they blend east and west the way it must be done.
