i don't think i could bring anything new about the coasters, so i will briefly speech about this song.it was released in may, 1964 and the rockish section of MOG should recognise it as the original song the new york dolls recorded in 1974 for the "too much too soon" album.

  7. Spike says I liked the sax solo by King Curtis, who played on their earlier records. I couldn't follow the lyrics' story line completely, but had I been an expert on Charlie Chan movies, it would have been easier.

  9. soulrocket says fijah- the coasters are a vocal group to follow, man. spike- indeed that was king curtis. so that is the story behind that song. i searched on google and now the picture is complete. i never knew what lyrics were about, now all makes more sense. kkiddo- thats cool, man. I will, i believe i would die before i list all the great oldies released back then. i can picture myself in the future, surrounded by grandchilds asking what their grandpa is doing at the pc everyday.
