When the night has come..

So, this weekend turned out to not be exactly what I had planned. Friday night I was completely stoked because I as supposed to go to The Blue Room, which is known for having great jazz here in good ol' Kansas City. Sadly, due to the fact that I spent way too long getting lost and it was packed all night long, I wasn't able to get in.

Not so sadly, my friend Travis and I ended up walking around in the gorgeous weather and having some pretty spectacular conversations at a coffee shop in westport (Damn that whole being under 21 thing) until the wee hours of the morning.

Anyways, the rest of the weekend was spent out at my Grandparents house in Salina, where my cousins and I reminisced by watching Stand By Me for the millionth time. Gotta say. It's probably one of my favorite films of all time.

Anybody else out there have a movie that just perfectly captures the essence of their childhood?

Anyways, my dad and I listened to this song the whole drive home.

It was a pretty fantastic weekend.
