WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

The word is love, the word is loss.

Well, it has been a good long while. I really have no excuse. At the end of this summer, due to my melancholy outlook on life, I decided that maybe the rest of the world had it figured out. All it would take to be happy in resigning myself to a life of monotony and suburban stepfordness would be to start wearing Hollister and listening to Ryan Seacrest's Top 40 religiously.

Let me tell you, those people are sad, sad people.

Anyways, its a new year and I'm out of my funk. I've read more in the last month than I did in the previous 4 months. I've listened to more fabulous music in the last month. Also, I went on a random and spontaneous adventure by myself to Denver, and then on to Utah and Las Vegas. It was pretty splendid.

With that, I'll just leave you with the Desaparecidos. Because if you ever feel the need to disappear out west, they are great traveling partner.

I'm growing out my hair
like it was when I was single
it was longer than I've known you
I had no money then
I had no worries then at all

{But with} such a high standard of living
I just feel like I am dying
I start an argument
but you can barely even talk

There's good reason for your silence
{you} have to take care of some business
so I fix your plate
and I stay out of the way

But you'll stay like that forever
right in front of your computer
you'll look up one day
but you won't recognize me

I likt this tune a lot.  I like your post too. You should read "Breakfast Of Champions" By Kurt Vonnegut,  you'll laugh aloud.  Vonnegut's caustic wit & distemper humor have never been better.  I think you'd like it.....based on your post here.

    Great looking Beagle.

Great post! Desaparecidos are a great band. Well, basically anything with Conor Oberst is amazing.
