This is from one of my favorite CD's. It's Bonnie Raitt in 1972 at a studio in Philly. It's all acoustic with a few musicians in front of a small audience. Her voice is amazing. She does a great cover of this Steve Winwood tune. Enjoy!

Raitt is wonderful, and this song was good enough to be covered even by the tropicalia master (and minister of Brazillian culture) Gilberto Gil...

I've been digging Bonnie Raitt since my college days, back in the early '70s. Crazy that this is from '72. I think I first bought some Bonnie Raitt albums in '72. Cool post.

Too nice. And I do believe that Sigma Sound is where the bulk of the Philadelphia International disco hits were recorded, from TSOP and Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes to the Intruders and O'Jays. And maybe even some Hall & Oates stuff...

Not only lucky enough to have seen Bonnie & Friends tour '73 (11 yrs. old) ... But also backstage to see Grace Potter and The Nocturnals meet her! Felt like history being made ... Before I'd heard and fallen in love with that band. Lucky bastard. Great track, thanks!

There was just so much talent laying around in that Raitt Head she took her time finding her sound but on early tracks like this one that voice was in total command, she was like a warm breeze out in the cold, pass the bottle, no one like her, I'm glad I was born and raised just miles from where she first did all this, I was only 14 at that time but I knew I liked this voice and music style.
