Pedro the Lion and other things

I love the gut wrenching/tear my heart out lyrics. This makes sense because I’m convinced I’m crazy, but that’s not the point of this post.My friend’s (soon to be) ex-husband was into this band called Pedro the Lion. He got my friend in to the band. I’ve heard of them but never listened. This weekend I was checking my friend’s blog and hear “Rapture” by Pedro the Lion. The lyrics were so on point with what she and her ex are going through. It touched a nerve with me too. So I downloaded CDs and now I’m enjoying Pedro the Lion. I think I was meant to be an “emo” kid.I’m also making a funky mix CD for my friends. We occasionally go to this lounged for “London Calling” nights. Brit Pop, electro, indie, etc is played on those nights. Every time we go I hear about how my friends love the music. I laugh because I own a lot of it, and they have not been fans of my mix CDs when I go out of the mainstream. So upon their request, I’m making a mix CD of songs we hear at London Calling. This should be interesting.Cheers!
