WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Sloan's New Album Available for Pre-Order on iTunes

Posted over 3 years ago
Sloan's new album is now available for pre-order on iTunes. I was very much impressed with the first single release from this album, "Who Taught You To Live Like That?". For the few who don't memorise everything I write, you can read my post about that track.I'm rather impressed with the volume of content of this album relative to it's price. The album has a whopping 30 songs. In an age where albums are now often just seven or eight songs, this is rather amazing. Further more, iTunes is throwing in two bonus tracks, all for just 9.99$CAN. For those that like numbers, that's 31 cents a track (0.28$US, 0.22€, 32¥ and 0.15£).It's a refreshing change not to be ripped off when buying music.Pre-order this album on iTunes

  1. max says ugh, i'm still opposed to buying stuff via-itunes...i really like owning the album, and honestly for a few dollars more (probably less in my case since i have the ever amazing used section at amoeba, that always has a crazy amount of new releases, sometimes before they even come out...promo copies, etc) you can have the actual album, artwork, and put it on your itunes...meh, maybe it's just me, but i'm still a record shopping junkie. Though i do like those bonus tracks they always seem to have

  2. smithco says If there were any good record stores left, I'd agree with you. But, I haven't known of one worth going to in years. All the small ones have closed their doors, the big ones carry nothing but top-10 albums and CD prices are getting higher and higher. In this case, I'd have to special order this one from overseas. With the shipping and import duties I'd be paying about 40$ for it. I did that to get ahold of MirrorMask already this month, I can only aford that so often. For the price, convenience and selection breadth combo, Apple get my money.

  3. BotChild says Doctor, you should totally visit a city sometime. I can't stand mainstream music yet frequently find myself buying CDs at the local HMV. It's huge, and getting bigger. They even have stuff i like at listening stations. You'd probably like the last remaining SAM even better. Or have you been to a Virgin music store? And as max points out, there are still a few good used record shops, though sadly the numbers are thinning annually.
