WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Yeah...I say something is weird about MOG-O-Sphere...

Posted over 3 years ago
Maybe it's this song, maybe it's the fact the lead singer strongly resmbles a friend of mine or perhaps Anti-Amy isn't on MOG....what happened? :-(

  2. slantera says I did this at a karaoke bar. I had one lady dance with me to this song and a cute bartender that told me I did a great job. Both women were spoken for.....meh!

  3. atman says i'm pretty bummed that amy bailed. this place suddenly has a different vibe about it.

  4. slantera says I'll say.....and I'm starting to see a list of MOG's that have nothing to do with music. *shudders*

  5. atman says yeah. fuck. I think there otta be a "survivor" type of element to this place, where we can vote motherfuckers offa here.

  6. tybees says I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that the MOS has changed suddenly. I'm sure anti-amy had her reasons for leaving--MOG takes up a considerable amount of my time too (not a bad thing).

  7. jordansinferno says Great fucking song, one so called avid Godsmack fan, was telling me about "Voodoo Too" or however it is off of the new album, I was like "does it sound like the original Voodoo?" He had never heard this song before, one of their best, that whole album kicks ass. It was either this or Toxicity that had the awesome hidden track with the jungle music in it, I can't remember.

  8. killjoy says Love this album, it just takes me away. One of those you can just listen to all the way don't you think slantera.

  9. slantera says I agree. It would be better to do that without the person knowing they're about to be voted off. Then have an email sent to them explaining why they were voted off. It's not a nice thing to do, however, it's much better than someone getting abusive posts from people that don't know how to be civilized.

  10. slantera says I know which song you're talking about, jordansinferno. Because the song follows after Aerials, I have it on my iPod. That song is also a great one. I have to give it another try, Killjoy. Some albums easily grow on me others take some time.

  12. atman says you know Joe... man, I dunno where to start. There are several ways to deal with all the extra crap that floats into our beautiful ocean. 1. I've been oblivious to all the POO that has floated into the mogosphere, because I NEVER GO THERE. You can subscribe to MOS as an RSS feed. That's what I do. The RSS reader that I use doesn't load all the youtube stuff. I just get a subject and who it's from. I keep up on stuff that way. 2. I have so many "trusted mogs" that I very rarely have a need to branch out to find new people to entertain me. You, Pimp, a shitload others. You guys are my trusted mogs. I get a shitload of emails telling me there's a new post by a trusted mog. I don't post on even a quarter of the shit I get email about. But it's all good because YOU PEOPLE ARE COOL. You can be EXCLUSIVE about this shit. If someone interesting posts on your mog, go to their mog. If they seem okay, TRUST them. Sorry man, but I'm gonna cut and past this here reply to my own mog. People bailing, especially Amy, pisses me off. I think there needs to be much better filtering systems here. People like AA would find it easier to deal with all the POOOO.

  13. killjoy says Growth is the human way,as long as it is positive. All this other stuff you cats are chating about makes me sad. I just started in this little reality tunnel and I must admit there a several cool people and great music I have found. And i thank you all for that, but I though that I had left the shit behind in myspace. people just need to grow up, I know it is hard to do but "can't we all just get along"?

  14. slantera says atman: I guess 'cause MOG is still fairly new, I think it will be a matter of time before they work out all the little finer details of getting rid of nonsense we don't need on here. You know what, I rarely post anything on anyone's MOG unless I feel like I have something to contribute. I don't mind getting emails about who posted what, when I have the time, I will browse around a see what catches my eye. jordansinferno, I'm not sure what happened. I felt like she was a vital part of this community. It is a shame to see a person that I not only had the same taste in music with, but also contributed to MOG. She will be missed.

  20. damianmannn says Sorry to hear she's gone. Maybe the hubby told her enough is enough. Ya never know. Hey! It's the internuts. People come. People go. It'll expand and contract. Sometimes in ways you like. Sometimes it'll change in ways you don't. Nothing's gonna stop that.

  22. slantera says True, true...... I would think she would've at least said goodbye or something. To leave abruptly without saying something to fellow MOGger's, considering the personality she presented, is rather odd. Then again, what do I know......?

  23. holyfool says Wow, I am seriously bummed about that. Not that I really got to know her as a person or anything, but she was always just so friendly. She was one of the first people to welcome me here and add me to her trusted Mogs...I'm sad to see her go. You're right, lester, lots of bad juju floating around today, it seems...

  26. ladyfizzgig says I garauntee you someone here know what happened. It's just a matter of them being nice enough to share the info.
    Permalink posted 10/15/2006
  27. slantera says I agree, though, maybe it is a personal matter that can't be discussed.
    Permalink posted 10/15/2006
  28. holyfool says This is also a possibility. Life happens, you know? When did she leave?
    Permalink posted 10/15/2006
  29. d0gstar says AA did say goodbye - it's in yesterday's MOS, if you look back. She didn't state, as a reason, all the discussion that has been going on here the past two days as a reason, but I'd be surprised if that didn't have something to do with her leaving. Her stated reason, in her post I believe as well as in a mogmail she wrote in response to me, was that she was spending too much time on here, and not enough time really ENJOYING music, as well as all the other things life has to offer. Unlike me, she is a young mom with a couple of kids, and those thing take a lot of time, attention and presence. Presence in the moment, I mean. I'm sorry to see her go - she was one of my first trusted, as well as one of the first to trust me. I don't like some of the stuff here, in oarticular pages taking ages to load due to too many imbedded youtubes. But, there are solutions - don't come to the MOS as much, use an RSS reader (which I'm going to look into), filter to only my trusteds. I may do my fair share of bitchin', but I'm going to try and live in the solution, not the problem, not to go all twelve-steppin' on yer asses. I'm turning other people onto this - people with really good taste in music, as well as other things, and I want them to have a cool place to come to, like I have.

  30. sam9muhr says Yeah, I just have the preference of getting emails when a trusted Mogger posts something and when someone posts a comment after my comment. It's done me well.
