YOU CAN'T NOT GET NO SATISFACTION

Who would you choose?

If you could choose an artist/band member, that has passed away, who would want to bring back to life?

  1. Wayne Ralph says Without giving it any _real_ thought, my gut reaction would have to be: *Johnny _Fucking_ Cash* (His middle name wasn't used too often but it's the only true way to invoke his memory. Just try it without it - not the same is it?) Here's a man in the winter of his life that takes what I had considered to be a pretty powerful Nine Inch Nails song and makes Trent's version seem whiny and highschool emo in comparison. If _that_ doesn't give a man a second kick at the can, then this is a cruel and bleak world we live in.

  2. Smurtis says Otis Redding. He died as soon as he was hitting his creative peak. It's a damn shame.

  3. ivylander says Buddy Holly, no question. The guy had so much incredible music in front of him.

  4. Anonymous says John Lennon.....absolutely

  5. thecandymanlives says 2Pac... easy. No other rapper since him has said exactly what black youth need to hear. Dead Prez has said that we need to get our shit together, but 'Pac hasalways appealed to SO many... the intellectual and the thug could both put in a 2Pac cd and find their song. Plus, I might get my wish, because 2Pac could be alive (with all those damn 2 disc albums released "posthumously," I can never be sure...).

  8. slantera says thecandymanlives: You know, they were always talking about how is death was staged. It was ironic that his last video, if I remember correctly, was of him passing away and going to heaven. I believe the same could be said Biggie. I never followed 2Pac's work, though, there were a few tracks that I would like to have on my list that I have heard before his "passing".

  11. agntdoctorAndrew says Layne like the guy two comments above And maybe Jim Morrison It's hard to choose I think people have lived in the house since him but not many. Maybe like one person and then it burned and that was it. And that was still long ago. I have no idea why they keep it. I say they turn it into some kind of landmark like The Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin's houses nearby

  14. tybees says I wish Kurt Cobain would come back and bitch-slap Courtney Love. OK I don't think Courtney is all that bad, but she's needed a slap on more than one occasion.

  20. eshep says i'd be interested in seeing what john lennon or jimi hendrix would have done later in their careers. as much as i like curt cobain, i don't think he was on the same level as a lennon or hendrix.

  23. Neill says Joy Division Saw them once supporting The Stranglers but was so completely off my face I can't remember much of it. Everytime I go to see New Order (again next month!) they play more and more Joy Division songs.

  25. Wanbli says this is a difficult one...I struggle between Garcia, Hendrix and Lennon... but in the end there is only one man whom I feel that his return would benefit the world on a spiritual and musical level. In these times, his message of Love is needed more than ever. Bob Marley come back to us and let your light shine!
