I work at this place which is interesting in many ways but there used to be a nerdy clinician guy there who piqued my interest in many ways then I found out he was 17 hundred years younger than me so he became interesting to me in another way.Anywho, he got a different job and left and a day or two after he left he sent me an email telling me about his band. I listened to the myspace songs and I was impressed. His voice is lovely and there was many instrumental intrigues going on in each song. Bravo. I talked to another co-worker of ours, this nice guy who plays drums and he said he had the cd and was amazed by J's voice. We made plans to go to the gig last night. It was at the Tinderbox in Brattleboro so I asked another co-worker, a woman who I knew in Brattleboro if she wanted to go. She seemed half interested. We went and dragged her to the Tinderbox where there were all these smelly teens and boisterous twenty=somethings as it was all-ages. The band was pretty big:2 drumkits, 1 bassplayer, 1 flautist/covocalist, 1 trumpet player, 1 lead guitarist, 1 stand up bassist and the lead cute nerd who sang and played guitar and keys. They took way too long before starting to set up and the pauses in between songs were interminable, but I gotta cut them a break because it was their first show and with such a big band. They sounded good. J's voice was as lovely as on the recordings of the myspace although the band needs to tighten up, I was glad I checked it out. I look forward to improvement/perfection in performance.
