I just don't think Queens of the Stone Age can make a good record anymore. I've been so disappointed by the last two albums...and that's disappointment that comes from a big fan. so much of what The Arcade Fire are doing with this album and tour seems a little pretentious to me, but at the same time, it's the over-the-top aspects that are really powerful. I'm thinking there's a very fine line between sincere artistry and unabashed pretentiousness. and they might be just thismuch on the side of the sincere.
