This is the end, beautiful friend

For many college students around the country, it is time for finals. The last three days, let me tell you, were the most psychologically challenging days I've had in a while. With folgers to keep me awake, I slept maybe 6 hours total, and I saw the sun rise three times in a row. By the end of the 2nd day, I really felt like I was going insane. There is a song by the 60s rock band The Doors called _The End_, and this song interests me greatly despite my inexperience in that genre. I only found out about this song after seeing _Apocalypse Now,_ which is a movie about a soldier who goes insane and becomes a "god" to the native people of a Vietnamese village. One of the main themes of the movie is exploring the human psyche, and the song sets that feeling at the beginning of the movie when it is played. Sometimes, when you feel a certain way, you know of a song that expresses those feelings... well _The End_ was definitely what I was feeling at the time.Of course after it was all over, I asked myself, why does my mind put itself through all of this? My life isn't decided by those letter grades. This is very easy to say when you're not in the middle of it, but when you are the pressure can be almost unbearable. But now I'm done, so I can recover... and mog to my heart's content.Good luck to all my fellow students out there, I send you my best wishes.
