That rocks! I was there in Costa Mesa in... what, '99? ... when Black Sabbath opened for Ozzy and then went on to do their first reunion with him in 15 years. They only did 4 songs, but that was the impetus for the Reunion tour and album.

Well, only at that one concert. That was his "No more Tours" tour (and we all know how _that_ turned out). IIRC, Sabbath only opened for him in So Cal. Funny thing is, Bill Ward didn't drum for the opening act part - I forget who did. I think Tony Martin was singing. Then when they all came out on stage to reunite with Ozzy after his show ended (this was the last night of his tour, mind you), there was this overweight guy with short grey hair climbing up behind the drums. I was like, "who's that guy? That couldn't be Bill Ward." and some dude next to me said, "Nah, they'd have to get him out of a hospital somewhere." Of course, it was Ward, and he sounded great. My friends and I got a mosh pit going up on the lawn (it was an outdoor venue).
