In the early seventies, long before The Icky Thump(not picking here, I like this too!), Bob Welch was a member of Fleetwood Mac through some of their very best material. But he left the band in search of greener pastures moments before the got really popular. Now, everyone knows the sickly sweet direction he took that went up the charts with the solo "French Kiss" lp, but do you know what he did between the two acts? He put together a Zeppelin-esque trio with Tony and Hunt Sales (comedienne Soupy Sales sons, who had previously worked on Todd Rundgren's early solo efforts). They were called Paris, and through two recordings laid down some of the most distinctive tracks of the period. Check it.
