   I had never even heard of this book, much less film, until a couple days ago.  Safe to say the film seems as confusing as the book.  Check out this bit of geek love.

   I did not even know the story was from a book...I saw the movie on first release, sort of a contact buzz/dream flick that was really, really bad - even for the times - yet imagery that was hard to forget.
   And I thought my geek love of E.E."Doc" Smith was over the top...hoo boy!
